Has is seriously been 4 months since the last time I blogged?? That seems unbelievable. Time passes by so quickly it's insane! So many things have happened in the last 4 months, some good and some bad. I won't go into the details though. However, I am officially 20 years old (as of yesterday). It's weird not having a 'teen' after your age since I have been saying it for the past 8 years. Welp guys, truth be told, I miss blogging.

Okay, okay. I know I am not using a real camera (hi photobooth) BUT come one, my laziness isn't completely gone. But don't worry, I will have nice pictures on my next post!

Missing

So I was gone, then I came back, and was gone again, but now I'm back (kinda)! What a terrible blogger I am! Sorry :( However, in my defense, the last few weeks have been extremely hectic and mad busy! My last outfit post was August 16 and two days later I had to go back to Gainesville for rush week. Let me tell you how stressful that week was! Visiting sorority houses from early in the morning until late at night, only getting a max 2 hour break, walking around in the hot sun during those hours and surviving on very little food was not my idea of a good time. I mean, I am glad I went through the process because I ended up in my first choice (Alpha Omicron Pi, hollaaaa!) so I am very happy! So during that whole week, I attempted to sort out my bedroom since I moved in just a week before. And during all of this, fall classes began! So now I have a schedule packed with classes, homework, sorority things and trying to see all my other friends as well. But, do not fear, I am hoping to post an outfit either later today or tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed!

Oh, and I somehow forgot to mention the fact that on top of all that listed above, I got 2 parking tickets, my car towed then a boot put on my car all in 3 weeks. I don't think I should own a motor vehicle.

Memorial Park

We went to one of the parks in Jacksonville called Memorial Park today, somewhere I have never been in the 19 years I have lived here, surprisingly enough. I think I would have enjoyed it more if it wasn't SUPER hot outside. Before, I went to a place in 5 points called Cozy Tea Cafe. And it was amazing. It is a cute little cafe with several different types of teas, truffles, scones, etc. I love food, and this place just made me love food even more. Oh and let me just tell you how delicious their corn and butternut squash soup is. Mmm....

Same accessories, different clothes. This is due to my poor packing skills. I was in a rush to drive back home and quickly packed the first things I got my hands on...not so much on the shoes, though. However, these shoes are my new favorite pair. Got some blisters wearing them at first but they are on their way to be broken in. I think it goes with almost everything I wear. I bought them last week along with these shorts which are super comfortable! Love them. I love this purse I recently purchased, it is totally a copy of Balenciaga's city bag but literally 1/5 the price.

Another reason for my lack of blogging is because I have been in the process of moving. My previous apartment had a really inconvenient move out day and they didn't allow extensions. I had to move all my stuff out and then move into my friends apartment for a week until the lease at my new (and current) apartment started. It was hectic! I love my new apartment though, my room is huge! The closet is bigger than my old one...but it could be a lot bigger, of course. I need to start thinking about where to put my clothes when I buy new stuff. I am really afraid of the rack falling randomly one day due to the weight. But let's hope not.

P.S. I want to change my blog name, is that allowed? I can't even make sorreal my URL because it's already taken! How lame.

After a long hiatus

Has is really been over a month since I last blogged? That's so hard to believe since it definitely doesn't feel that way. I guess this past month has been a super busy one. Ever since my summer B classes started I have had a full work load with 3 classes. Trying to balance school work with friends seems to have left blogging out! Oops. The first 3 weeks of July, however, I mainly didn't blog because my boyfriend was in Mexico for study abroad and he is the one that takes 98% of my pictures. I thought I would start up again once he got back but I guess I never really got around to it..sorry!

Currently, I am on "break." It's not really much of a break though, since classes start in a week. Yikes! Nonetheless, I am very much excited for fall. I love my school and everyone in it. I can not wait to spend another amazingly fun and crazy year with all of my friends, especially since most of them are graduating next year which is super sad.

I am so extremely busy today before the weekend! I have to take a bunch of motion and depth of field photos for my digital photography class and do 5 drawings for my drawing class. On top of that I have 3 biology quizzes due tomorrow. Whew! However, this weekend will be tons of fun especially since I am going to Orlando Sunday morning until Monday night! I am finally back to some regular outfit posts. The last couple weeks have been super hectic and busy but now that summer b started (and I am taking easier classes) I can blog regularly! However, I have to start taking my own pictures which is slightly (okay more than slightly) annoying. But oh well. I also had to take pictures inside, yet again, because of the horrid weather! It has been raining every day this past week! So much for summer..

I decided to go for a more preppy look today. I bought this gorgeous blazer over the weekend from Banana Republic for only $45! It was originally $89.50 so I just had to buy it. This is slowly becoming one of my favorite stores because their clothing is so versatile. All of their pieces can easily transition from day to night and I love how simple yet sophisticated they are. No, I am no way affiliated with the company but I just can't help but express how much I love their clothes!

I had such a great past 5 days! I literally went shopping every single day and got loads of cute stuff that I can not wait to share! The blazer and shorts I am wearing are just a couple of the things I bought. I think I have enough clothes to last me until...July. Which is the day after tomorrow. Hehe, no I'm just kidding. I definitely have enough to last me until August and I am hoping not to buy anything else until then but as soon as one of my friends ask me, "Want to go to the mall?", I will break. But I am hopeful!

The new software for iphone came out. I am not sure if it is only for the 3gs or not, but I love it! I am liking the 4g but I like the design of the old iphone better. My brother got an upgrade to the 4g and I was messing around with it and I love that it has a camera on the front for conference calls, skype, etc. It's pretty cool. But oh well. The new software allows the iphone to multitask which I love, love, love! I also love that you can finally change the background color.

It feels so amazing to be back home and have absolutely nothing to worry about. From Saturday night until Wednesday I got a total of 15 hours to sleep at the most (because of finals) so that was a hell week. I left my camera in my apartment because I was rushing to leave and my bf leaves for Mexico tomorrow (tear) so posts will have to hold until I go back Sunday or Monday! These are a couple from the past 2 weeks.

My Summer A classes are almost done! I get a week long break (hoping to go to D.C./Boston/New York to see my cousins) and then Summer B classes start. I have had a sufficient amount of work to do lately which is why I haven't been able to take any pictures of my outfits. Oh, and because my boyfriend went back home to study for the GRE's ad setting up my tripod takes forever.

Veggie Burger with hummus, dried tomatoes, mushrooms, muenster cheese and spinach and homemade fries. Mmmm...

I realized, in the fall semester, that cooking relieves a lot of my stress. I would purposely make meals that would take longer to prepare simply because it took my mind off of school and doing work. I especially looked forward to cooking during my finals, though preparing meals meticulously was probably not the best idea given the amount of work I had.

I am pretty sure I am the master when it comes to procrastination. We have a major paper to write about a book of our choice for my U.S. politics and government class that was given to us in the beginning of our summer classes. I have yet to start reading this book....and the paper is due Friday. This is going to be a hectic week.

What a crazy and long week it has been! From exams and quizzes every other day to birthdays! I have been so busy this past week studying for the exam I had yesterday as well as making preparations for my friends birthday that was this past Thursday. My friends and I made a cake in the shape of a penis for her (thank you, Spencers!) and had a little get together Wednesday night so we could surprise her and do a cake cutting at midnight since her birthday was on Thursday. She was very surprised and loved it! Then Thursday the shenanigans began.

I found yet another cute little boutique in Gainesville called Mesh! Well, more like my friend told me to go there but I like it nonetheless. I got this tank top/vest combo from there and I just love it! Too bad as soon as we went there a down pour started outside so we were trapped in there for a while. However, it was just another excuse to try more things on and stay longer.

My friend and I have been exploring a bunch of restaurants here in Gainesville recently. Yesterday, we went to this restaurant downtown called Liquid Ginger which is an asian grille and teahouse and it is sooo good! I got their red curry chicken and it was super spicy, just how I like it. We drove to Jacksonville afterwards because my friend was flying out her new puppy to her mom in Rhode Island because she is way too busy to train him and she asked me to go so she wouldn't be bored. After picking up her puppy, going to the vet and the airport we decided we needed cheesecake asap so went to the mall there called The Town Center and at a Italian restaurant called Maggiano's. I have been there since I live in Jacksonville but my friend never has and to end the trip we got cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory. Can I just say cheesecake is the best desert ever. And today we wanted to go back to Liquid Ginger but it is only opened for dinner so we went a few blocks over to this place called Emiliano's Cafe which is a Latin restaurant. Definitely a new favorite as well!

I'm really not a pants type of person. I have developed this mentality because I live in Florida where it is hot 98% of the time then cold the other 2%. Therefore, wearing pants suck, to put it simply. But, when I saw these pants I really liked them! They are soft and super comfortable. They aren't jeans so it is kind of perfect for summer weather. Now, I won't be wearing them often because I still don't like wearing pants but I definitely will every once in a while. Oh, and say hello to my new summer shoes! I finally got a pair of wooden heels. yay!

Just a quick outfit post for today. I have been volunteering all morning and I just got home. The lack of sleeping-in nowadays is driving me crazy! I miss the days where I coud sleep past noon. But I have been so busy with school, volunteering and birthdays! Almost all of my friends are turning 21 this summer (jealous). One of my friends turned 21 last week but he didn't celebrate it because it was raining all weekend long so we all went out Thursday night to one of the nicest clubs in Gainesville called Sharab. It was definitely a lot of fun! And this upcoming Thursday one of my best friends is turning 21 so we are celebrating that night, except I have 2 exams the next morning. So, in order to go out I am starting to study today! Ahh!

Oh, and I don't know how many bloggers out there listen to Kid Cudi but his music has been my obsession lately which is why the title of today's post, as well as the last few days, has been song titles or lyrics by him. For some reason I go through music like that. I find someone I really like, listen to them everyday for at least a couple months then move on to someone else and repeat. I listen to other stuff too, of course, but the majority of it at the moment is Kid Cudi. He came to UF last fall and I really wanted to go but an Accounting exam stopped me (worst. class. ever.).

And I know it looks like I went into some creepy alley way to take pictures, but it is less creepy during the day as opposed to night.

Sorry for the bad quality pictures ahead of time. The light was going away which means slower shutter speed which means dark/blurry pictures and thus poorly edited pictures (oh and my laziness/tiredness to edit them better)!

I was inspired by the picture below to wear this outfit! Okay, so maybe pretty much copied the outfit, but hey, I improvised the rings and shoes alright. I saw this picture on one of Diya's posts from In Her Stilettos. I really loved the casual yet cute look of the outfit but what I loved even more is that I basically have every item in the picture! I just couldn't resist.

Me:

I really fell in love with this jacket when I saw it a while back and knew I had to buy it. I was looking around for a cute moto jacket to wear during the summer that was pretty thin and light weight and this is basically as close as it gets. However, it is still usually too hot to even wear it, but I do anyways because I love it! Today was actually a perfect day to wear it. It wasn't overtly sunny and there was a nice breeze so I felt perfectly comfortable wearing this jacket.

Once again, it was tremendously hot outside, as characteristic of the Florida summer. I have been so busy lately. I literally am home to either change clothes and pick something up or to sleep! Summer classes and other things in general have been keeping me busy and away from blogging, unfortunately.

I also have been getting very little sleep. I usually never go to sleep before 2am so I have been trying to force myself to sleep earlier since I have to be in class by 9:25 everyday. And let me tell you, it sucks. Only two and a half more months? Joy.

Wow, after a long hiatus I finally am back to starting regular postings. It has been pretty hectic the past two weeks. With the end of the semester, finals, break, volunteering, working, going out of town, working, etc. So many things have been going on so I did not have any time at all to post (and because my bf usually takes my pictures but he was sick all week and I left my tripod at my apartment)!

I also got my hair cut yesterday! It actually looks longer in these pictures than it does in person. I feel like it is super short! I told my stylist I wanted an inch cut off at the bottom and she cut about three or four? But, I guess it doesn't matter because it is summer in Florida meaning it will get VERY hot, so shorter hair is best to have. I do love the cut though. All my layers and whatnot grew out since I last got it cut (in Novemberish?) so I got a lot of more choppy layers throughout and I got bangs straight across my forehead! I will also be dying my hair this week. I am still trying to decide on what color. As you can see, I was extremely bored with my previous hair.

I absolutely adore high-waisted shorts now. I think they are officially my quick, go-to outfit. I know I am officially obsessed with them because I already bought five pairs of them within the last two weeks! Crazy, I know. You will be seeing them all very soon. These shorts are actually super long but folding it a few times does the trick! I love them.

I think it is so crazy that my first year of college is already over and I am officially a sophomore! I feel like it was just the other day I was packing up everything I could find in my room and moving it all down to Gainesville, box after box, bag after bag. I have met so many great and amazing people this year and I have had the best times with them all. The sad thing is that most of my good friends and my bf are all going to be seniors next semester meaning they are all graduating next year, which sucks a lot! The only negative to being friends/dating people who are older than you, haha. But it's okay, they all have helped me have the best possible freshman year in college. My title is from the song Memoriws by David Guetta featuring Kid Cudi. It perfectly depicts this year for me :)

Happy Mother's Day to all the lovely mom's out there! I hope you all were able to spend time with your mom's, stepmom's, mother figures, etc. and thank them for all they have done and contributed in your life! I was not able to spend time with my mother today because I had to go back to Gainesville since classes start tomorrow but her gift was delivered to her last night and she loved it! Which makes me happy.

Sorry for the lack of posts, yet again! The last time I posted was the beginning of finals week, which is now over. Right after my last final I left to go to Destin, Fl with mi familia for the weekend. When I got back home Monday I started volunteering! So it has been quite a busy week. I found out some amazing news and I feel like my life is officially complete (the exaggeration is needed). Rainy Sunday

I decided to hop on the bandwagon of creating a formspring.me account. I thought it might be interesting to see what people want to know about me (if anything at all?) and of course I will answer them, within reason. So, if you have any at all questions, please ask away!

Today was an epic fail when it came to taking good photos. We walked downtown to a really nice spot to take some pictures, then it started pouring. I ended up at the parking garage at my apartment to take pictures, oh well.

I have my final tomorrow for my hardest class so I am feeling an all nighter tonight, unfortunately. I just got back home from going to Starbucks with a friend to study but soon I will be walking to the library, sigh. I can not wait until this week (thursday) is over with! I get a nice break until May 10, when my classes for summer start up. But I am pretty excited because I am taking a drawing class and a photography class which will be awesome!

I'm not gonna lie, I didn't actually wear those shoes today but I thought they went perfect with my outfit. In an ideal city (not gainesville) where no one would give you weird looks for "dressing up" I would have totally worn them all day. It's really starting to get annoying seeing everyone in sweats, nike shorts, tee shirts, etc. all the time. I mean, obviously I don't look dressed up all the time and I am guilty for wearing the aforementioned, but everyday? Come on, guys. But I am in love with those shoes. I have only worn them once since my bf bought them for me back in February. They are super comfortable and just the hottest things ever :) Oh, and I bought this cardigan 4 years ago back in 9th grade (damn!), but I still love it to pieces!

Like I said, taking pictures with a scenic background was a fail. We walked downtown to take some but ended up stranded at Mochi, which was not a problem at all. For those that don't know what Mochi is, it's just another frozen yogurt place like the hundreds of other ones out there. But it is sooooo incredibly good. The one downtown just opened Friday so everything is 50% off this weekend. I will be making my third trip later today!

Half eaten original mochi with cheesecake, strawberries and short bread. Can you say heaven?

The rain literally went crazy within maybe less than a minute. It looked kinda cool though.

Ok so this picture was a little too overly exposed, but oh well, it was the only good fully body shot. I need to seek out new locations rather than be lazy and just take pictures outside my boyfriends apartment, hehe! However, in my defense, those shoes gave me blisters almost immediately after I put them on. Oh what I go through for fashion.

I really liked the way all my of pictures came out, I didn't even edit them! I really liked how some of the blooper pictures came out, minus my facial expression obviously.

Today was pretty chill. Hung out with some friends last night till the wee hours of the morning. Ended up waking up at 1ish..which is getting to be a pretty bad habit seeing as how I have an exam tomorrow! Not to mention I skipped one of my classes today due to my laziness. I am getting senioritis already, oh no. I just need all my finals to be over with so I can get to my break..which will only last about a week until summer classes starts. Gainesville alllllll summer, woo!

Sorry for the lack of posts, the semester is winding down meaning it's exam time! I haven't taken any photos yet but here are a couple from over the weekend. There weren't any good full body pictures besides these two.

So I had an exam Thursday meaning I was studying the whole entire week! Since boredom strikes while studying, I documented the days I was studying up until Thursday on photo booth! It is definitely an effective way to kill time.

4am in the arc lab, this is how I feel. Listening to iron&wine and lil' wayne helped though (two very different genres of music, I know).

I recently discovered Indian fashion designer Manish Arora. I fell in love with his collection and all the crazy and artistic designs, shapes, patterns and colors. They are all absolutely amazing! That is the best part about fashion, when it becomes more than just pieces of cloth, but an art form. He is based in New Delhi, India so it is safe to say the next time I go to India I will definitely be going to one of his flagship stores!

Long Week

Sorry for the lack of posts, yet again. Spring semester is quickly coming to an end meaning that it is exam time! I had a quiz is stats today, a tech communications project/assignments due tomorrow and a calc exam thursday! Therefore, I have been pretty busy. I will be living at the library for the next few days, unfortunately. Oh, and I made a new header. Good, bad? I'm not sure how I feel about it..I was just bored last night so I made it.

Once again, the weather was bipolar. It was pretty hot when I went to class this morning (I was wearing pants and a sweater, why, I don't know) so when I took pics I decided to change into something more suitable for the weather. However, when I walked outside it was windy and a little cold! And, currently, it got a lot colder. I just don't get it...

I wish I wore sandals with this outfit instead of flip flops, it would have made the outfit look much better. I have just been super lazy and flip flops are my go-to shoes when I am in a hurry. I remember a few years back I would wear flip flops year-round, I guess that's what happens when you live in Florida. Speaking of lazy, I was extra lazy today. I didn't even do my hair or makeup. I woke up at 11:00 and realized I had to talk to an advisor by 11:30 so I had to get ready super quickly and risk looking bad, but oh well. And for these pictures I was too lazy to do my hair or put on makeup. Bad idea.

Beating the Light

These pictures slowly get darker and darker because the sun was going down! It is always annoying to try to take pictures quickly..especially when I started to take them are 7 or 8pm when the sun goes down. Maybe I shouldn't procrastinate taking pictures anymore...

I really love the simplicity of this outfit. It was pretty warm outside, borderline hot, and all I wanted to wear was light clothing. I love this sheer pink top I got form Express last week! The only problem is I always have to hand wash it or something. One of the workers at Express was telling my friends and I how she bought the shirt, washed it in the washing machine and as soon as she took it out there were a bunch of holes in it! Slightly annoying to have complicated clothing but oh well, it's cute.

I went back home today! It is always nice to relax at home with family and friends and do nothing during the weekend before I have to go back to Gainesville. And once again, it was great outside! Although it was a little hot. I guess real Florida weather is coming back slowly, where it is way too hot to be outside. There has been a good few times I almost passed out from the heat and, ironically, they were all at outdoor concerts. But, I am still loving this weather rather then being cold!!

My friends and I had a spa/shopping day yesterday and I finally got a much needed manicure and pedicure. I absolutely love this color! I originally picked the mint color but the polish was so sheer. They would have had to put like 10 coats on it to make it thick! I chose this color because, well, I love all shades of pink/purple but also because the nail woman said it looked the best out of all the other colors I picked. We then, later, went to this place called Sharab Lounge last night which is supposed to be one of the nicer venues in Gainesville, and it was! I definitely had a lot of fun last night. It is at the same place that some of the shows for Gainesville Fashion week is being held at and I am pretty excited for that. It starts April 7th but I still need to get tickets! So, recently, I have been thinking about starting a "Shop Sorreal". I have tons and tons of clothes that just don't fit me anymore for whatever reason. It's kinda sad because I like a lot of it. For example, if I were to start a shop this dress would be one of the items I would sell. I really love this dress! It's so pretty and feminine but, alas, it has become to big on me (this is a good and a bad thing). The problem is, I don't even know where to start. I don't know how the whole paypal thing works or if you can receive money another way. Does anyone who has a shop know any of the details? If someone could tell me, that would be great! The other problem is, would anyone even want my clothes? I mean, I like them. Does anyone like this dress enough to buy it? :)

On a side note, if you have not seen the movie Remember Me then I highly suggest that you go see it! I saw it the day it came out and I have been meaning to mention it, but I always forgot. The story is sad yet mesmerizing! It is totally oscar worthy. The ending is definitely a shocker, but I won't give it away. Some critics don't agree with it, but what do they know?

The Chamber Of Secrets Has Been Opened. Enemies Of The Heir...Beware..

Today was wonderfully warm and sunny with a nice breeze. I'm telling you Florida weather is bi-polar. It was cold on Monday and Tuesday, Warm on Wednesday and pouring rain yesterday! I don't understand how or why. Weird. But on to other news, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter opens June 18!! And of course I am going! Thank god Orlando is only an hour-ish away!! In relation to the title of my post, there is this small tunnel on campus that has a BUNCH of graffiti all over it and on one side someone wrote The Chamber of Secrets has been opened and on the other side it says enemies of the heir beware. I thought it was pretty funny and it was even in red paint like it was in the movie. I really wanted to take a picture of it but since people frequently spray paint on the tunnel it was already covered up half-way. Any other blogger Harry Potter fans out there? Please tell me I'm not the only one or else I would feel very lame having that has my title..oh well!

I have been completely exhausted/tired/weak/feeling dead/etc. all day today! I have literally been sleeping all day which sucks because the weather outside is PERFECT. Seriously, sunny and it is in the 70's which was the warmest all week. These pictures were taken yesterday.

For some reason I have been craving chinese take out food! I am not sure why. Maybe because I haven't gotten take out in literally years? So I am currently looking up menus to order some. I am so excited, yum! Do you ever get sporadic and impulsive cravings? If so, tell me what! I am officially a Mac!

After months of contemplating whether or not I should get a Macbook, I finally got one! And I am absolutely in love with it. It is just so pretty and a major upgrade from my old laptop. I still need to figure out all its features and how to use it, etc.

My spring break is quickly coming to an end, which sucks! I feel like it was just yesterday I was in Miami and now I already have to start school in 2 days. Sad. One week is just not enough for a break. Oh well, I guess there is 2 months of school left, then summer! Then 2 weeks later I start summer classes...awesome.

The weather this week as been anything but great. Monday and Tuesday were fine but every other day has been rainy and/or overcast. I am pretty sure this is the first mildly cold spring break I have ever experienced. I mean come on, it's Florida!! It should be sunny and warm not windy, wet and cold. Oh how I wish I was on the cruise to Mexico that everyone else is on...
I did, however, see Alice in Wonderland the other day. Visually, it was great but I don't think the story line was as exciting as I thought. I think exciting is the word at least...don't get me wrong, I liked the movie, all of Tim Burton's movies are great but there was a lack of a little something...can't really explain it. But I am seeing Remember Me tomorrow which I am sooooo excited to see!

Sorry for the hiatus the past week. I am finally back home from an amazing weekend in Miami! I so wish I could have stayed the entire break, but hopefully I will go back soon! The sucky part is that I got sick almost immediately after I got back. I have had a runny nose and I started coughing all throughout last night. How am I not surprised that this would happen? Oh well.

So I have been trying to figure out what the brand of this top is. I bought it from a boutique in Gainesville called Wolfgang that sells various designer items, but I have never heard of a 3+1. I tried googling it but nothing shows up! So if anyone knows, please inform me! I really love this top and the zipper detail on the shoulders. I accidentally got it in a size medium, but I think I like the more looser fit, especially over leggings.

Miami!

So it finally started warming up today and I am hoping it continues to do so. The weather was nice and warm but still was a bit chilly.

This upcoming weekend I am supposed to be going to Miami to kick off spring break! And I am soooo excited! I am going with a BUNCH of people for this event called Miami Mayhem. Basically, it is a huge intercollegiate dance competition held by the University of Miami and the line up includes Case Western Reserve University, Duke University, George Washington University, Pennsylvania State University, Standford University, University of Florida, University of California-Riverside and University of Maryland-College Park. I am so excited to cheer on all of my friends on the dance team. Hopefully UF will win!

The title of my post relates to my life because I went to a "Jersey Shore" themed party last night, it was quite hilarious. No, I did not dress up but most of they guys in the frat did and they looked hilarious! There would be random intervals of one brother yelling "fist pump!", then they all huddle in a group and yell it. It was entertaining, to say the least.

The weather was absolutely perfect today! Except it started to get a little chilly later in the day, but that's okay. I knew I had to wear something other than pants/tights/leggings. I was standing in my closet trying to decide what to wear and then I realized I had this skirt that I have never worn. I bought it sometime last semester on a thrifting spree. Back when I didn't have a blog, I read other blogs everyday and how people find the most cutest things at thrift stores so I decided to give it a shot because I have never done it. I bought a few skirts including this one, but the color is kind of difficult. But, this top that I bought goes perfectly with it!

I decided that I should take pictures at the stadium today because I thought the background would be interesting. But of course, the field was not as green as it usually is, probably because of the cold shriveling up the grass. They should have painted it at least! So, I had to stay on the bleachers! Bleh.

Today was pretty uneventful. Just spent the whole day chilling basically. There was absolutely nothing going on tonight, at least nothing worth getting ready to go to.

Okay, I confess, I am indeed a shopaholic. I can't help it! I just keep buying clothes and shoes and I don't stop! It used to be with purses but I realized the amount of bags I have now will suffice. I told myself last weekend no more shopping...and I got 3 pairs of shoes today..oops!

These shoes are the most comfortable pair of heels I have ever worn. See, my feet are difficult. Not only are my feet rather large (size 9 but can vary between 8.5-10), they are also wide. So, generally, shoes are quite uncomfortable for me. I am only extremely comfortable in flip flops or barefoot, but because I love shoes, I suffer and wear them. Beauty is pain, right? Anyways, these wonderful Steve Madden shoes I bought today are sooooo comfortable, I feel like I can wear them forever! I love them and I love Steve Madden, oh so much.

EDIT 2/11/10: RIP Lee McQueen. He was such an inspiration for millions but tragically died young.

Sorry for the lack of posts!! I haven't been up to date mostly because of exams/work and partially because of my laziness...oops! Anyways, I took these pictures with my Nikon Nikkor zoom lens (technically my boyfriend took them), and i love it! I got that lens along with my camera for Christmas about 2 years ago and I have never really gotten the chance to use them. I have been letting my boyfriend borrow it for his architecture stuff and I actually used it the other day for the first time and I love the way the pictures come out. Only because I love how everything gets blurred in the background, but it stil looks awesome. So, I will be using that lens from now on!

I don't know how many of you all like Owl City, but I love them! I discovered them last summer randomly and fell in love immediately. Ever since, I have been wanting to see them live! I have seen videos on youtube and they sound great so that made me even more excited. I saw back in September-Novemberish that they were coming to Florida this month and they were playing in Orlando at the House of Blues. I decided I would get tickets to go there but I decided to wait forever and when I checked in the beginning of January, all of their shows, every where, were sold out! I was/am pretty devasted. They played at the House of Blues last Friday :( I guess there is next year? (By the way, the title of my post is from one of my favorite songs by them, Umbrella Beach)

I discovered this store in Gainesville called Wolfgang last week and now I am in love with it! I can't believe I have never been there even though it is walking distance from my apartment. It is a cute little botique that has awesome clothes from BB Dakota to French Connection. So, of course being the shopoholic that I am, I could not resist not buying anything! I scored this cute Gentle Fawn dress as well as a few others I will post later. I love Gentle Fawn's Spring'10 collection, it is all so girly and beautiful!

So my exams officially start this week. Hence my lack of outfit posts since I have been studying (unfortunately)! I have my first one Thursday, and its just calc so it shouldn't be too bad.... I hope.

Sorry for the bad quality photos! These pictures were taken only a few minutes ago meaning its dark out so I had to take it in my dark room! And I don't have my tripod with me so I had to put my chair on my desk then put my camera on my chair..long process.

I have also been on a sugar binge lately and I'm not sure why. Maybe because I don't eat sugary goods too often? Since Saturday, I've had german chocolate cake, cheesecake, regular cake, chocolate covered pretzels, brownkies (cookies and brownies mixed in one), and MOCHI, which is my favorite. And that is A LOT. I guess going to the gym balances it out or just makes going to the gym pointless, I am not sure which one it is but I will just go with the first.

Also, it is apparently doppelganger week on facebok and I can't seem to find any celebrity that resembles me. I have gotten Eva Mendes, Rosario Dawson, and Freida Pinto so far but I am not sure about them. Any opinions?

Keeping Up With Resolutions

Sorry for the lack of outfit posts. My boyfriend has been using his camera to take pictures which are all in the raw format so I can't upload them to my computer and he has been super busy with building models and whatnot. However, I am finally keeping up with my New Years Resolution of going to the gym! Even though it's a month later.... But, my roommates and I decided to keep eachother constantly motivated so we can go every night and so far it has been working out great. We also decided to eat healther and now eat after 7:30pm, which will be super hard for me since I usually eat dinner around 8/9 or if I get home really late I grab a snack. I must do it though! The plan is to look great by the time spring break rolls around :) I think 10lbs is a reasonable weight loss goal. The best part about going to the gym is that I can always watch The Colbert Report and CNN, oh how I love politics.

But, apparently American Eagle were giving out a bunch of scarves, hats, gloves, etc. on campus!! My roommate just told me someone told her that they were everywhere. How did I miss this?!? I always miss out on all the free stuff given away on campus, unfortunately :(

And has anyone seen the iPad? I thought it would be like a MacBook minus the keyboard..but it can't even multitask or save files. Pointless, much??

1. I LOVE food. I could eat all day long, if I didn't care about my health. I can live off of french fries and ferrero rochers ( not together).
2. I am East Indian. I don't speak "Indian" as most people like to call it, I speak Bengali. There are several dialects in India. I also speak Spanish and English (of course). I know some Japanese.
3. I went to Japan with one of my best friends about 3 years ago and I fell in love with Tokyo.
4. I hope to either be a graphic designer or a doctor minoring in business, two very different things, I know. I love all aspects of art but I also want to be able to help people. And once I earn enough money, I hope to create my own clothing line or do something in fashion in general.
5. I plan on going to grad school/med school in New York where I want to live.
6. I think I have huge feet. I wear a size 9, sometimes 10. It is only unfortunate because a lot of the times shoe stores dont have my size, or don't have a bigger size for me, a.k.a Aldo :(
7. I have been dating my boyfriend for over 3 years. He is a year and a half older than I am, meaning next year he is graduating :( Luckily he wants to go to New York for grad school, too.

Nothing too great about today's outfit. Basically I spent the whole day freaking out because I thought I had a flat tire. I ran over a curb yesterday and ever since my car felt a little wobbly when I would drive it. So, I decided not to drive to class incase anything bad did happen to my car (luckily I have one class a day) and called my boyfriend to come over and check the car. At first he said the wheels looked fine but when he started driving it for a little bit he noticed the shakiness as well. Then, I had to take it somewhere to get it checked (luckily it was free!) and it turned out that nothing was wrong with them at all, to my relief! So what was my day, pretty uneventful. Oh, but it was HOT today. Florida weather is so weird.

So I kinda had an Abercrombie overhaul. I was at the mall the other day and decided to go to A&F because I havent been there in forever. The style of their clothes have changed so much! They actually have a lot of cute clothes that aren't are T-shirts with the Moose logo on it or their name plastered on all of their clothing. They are selling a lot more dresses, too. I didnt see this one in stores, but I love it and would definitely buy it. I also really like this and this, none of them were in store though. All I know is that their clothes are definitely evolving and I will start shopping there more often.

And thank you for those who wished me a happy birthday! I definitely had a good time, although January 18th is supposed to be the most depressing day of the year, which is awesome..not. My boyfriend and I went to this restaurant in Gville called Dragonfly. I have always heard of how amazingly good it was but have never been there, and let me tell you, it was SOOO good. It's a japanese restaurant so their concept for their menu was ordering a lot of appetizer-sized dishes and sharing them all, or something like that. Nonetheless, I loveeeeed it and can't wait to go back! Luckily, it's right down the road.

Long Weekend

Sorry for the lack of posts, it has been a very busy week! I went out Friday night with my roommate and friends to this place called The Whiskey Lounge downtown, kind of sketch getting there but overall it was tons of fun! Then, I didn't get home until 5am (seems to be a continuing theme whenever I go out for some reason) and I had to cram 3 quizzes and 3 book assignments for my online psych class (do not procrastinate) and then went out again. Last but not least, my mother decided to visit me today! I am pretty happy that I have a 4 day weekend though and tomorrow is my birthday, yay! I hope everyone is having a great weekend so far, I know I am! :)

Finally some warmth

I am SO happy for the weather to start warming up again! It's supposed to start going to the upper 60's. Last year I literally did not wear pants until the end of November when it started to get a little chilly. All I wore were skirts, shorts and dresses, I loved it!

Sorry for the messy room! I borrowed this jacket from my boyfriend on my way home because it was freezing outside and my jacket wasn't cuttin' it. I then realized I actually like this jacket a lot! Luckily, the inside lining on the sleeves had a light blue color which matched perfectly with this I Heart Ronson dress. Oh, and how about these shoes were on sale for $15, yes only FIFTEEN dollars at Forever 21!! I immediately bought them. :)

Anyways, I have seen SO MANY people on campus wearing sweat pants tucked into ugg boots/regular boots. Why is this a trend????? It looks soooo bad, seriously stop.

Snow?

So, apparently, it is supposed to snow here sometime today or tomorrow. The weather people in Jacksonville said if it does snow, it will be south of Jacksonville, which Gainesville is :) but I don't buy it. The last time it snowed in Florida was in 1989. It's not going to happen, I'm pretty sure. Although I would love to see snow again.

I realized that I wear a little too much black, and that the majority of my closet is black, or has black on it. So, I am trying to add a little bit more color to what I wear daily. That's why I added the scarf with the light blue shirt (even though everything else is black). But, I LOVE black. It goes with everything and looks good on everyone! It's just so classic. I do need to branch out a little more though.

EDIT POST: According to my roommates, there was a small snow flurry in Miami and Orlando, I'm kind of disappointed it wasn't it Gainesville. :(

Another free day!

Another day of no classes! I'm loving the first week back! But, now I am on the search for some cheap textbooks.

Not only do I love fashion, but I love everything beauty, makeup and hair.

I am obsessed with skin care! I am still deciding if I should major in biology for pre-med at my school so I can do dermatology! I am really thankful that I have good skin because bad skin can really ruin someones self-confidence, socialization, etc. So, on some blog posts, I will talk about some products that I use.

Last weekend I bought a new face moisturizer because I ran out of my old one. I decided to try one by Laura Mercier because I have never bought anything from there but I have heard many good things about her products. I bought the basic moisturizer cream with spf 15 (sun protection is SO important!!) and what a difference it made in one use! The day after I used it, my skin felt so smooth and after a week of using it I seriously can tell a difference with the texture/tone of my skin. My skin is much more smoother, more even and has barely any oil on it. It is so light and airy so it is great to wear under makeup. It also has UV protection, has anti aging agents, and much more. But, the best thing about it is that is has vitamins C and E in it. Any type of antioxidant is good for you because it prevents free radicals. I could write about what precisely vitamins C and E do in your body but I would have to write about chemical bonding, etc. If any one wants I can do it in another post! :) Basically, it is VERY good for you skin.

This is only $45, which in my opinion is a good deal compared to other products. I mean compared to this $1,000 cream, $45 is nothing.

Free Day

So today I woke up early (10am for me is early) and got dressed to go to class. When I got there, people were telling me that they were there for Statistics, but I was there for Calculus and I was positive that my schedule had the same class room number, it wasn't until later that I found out that I had no class today! I actually have it everyday except Tuesday, hah! Except my online class. So I am pretty happy that I can just sit around and chill all day. I guess tomorrow is my first day of class!

I'm finally back in Gainesville, and its freezing! So this outfit is pretty ordinary, but I was focused more on not freezing that looking cute. So, I accidently ripped one of my contacts today, and of course they were my last ones. Now I am stuck wearing glasses until I order new ones. Unfortunately, the prescription on my glasses are old so when ever I wear them I can't see very clearly, which sucks, but oh well. But! I am going back to Gainesville tomorrow which I am excited about! I am ready for spring semester to start already, although I will miss having a month of no school. Since Gainesville is a college town, there arent very many places to go and take pictures. I guess I'll just have to go on campus!

Sorry for not posting the last 2 days! There will definitely be an outfit post tommorow, if not today. Hopefully I can get a good photo of what I wore on New Years Eve. I didn't bring a camera with me because the only camera I have here is my SLR and I was not about to bring that around drunk people (my smaller camera is in gainvesville). However, I did have an amazing New Years Eve! It was so great so spend it with all of my best friends, too. I don't necessarily have any new year resolutions, maybe going to the gym more frequently? Or maybe decide what it is I want to do with my life? As in picking a major, I didn't think it would be THIS difficult.

Gardens

Today my boyfriend and I decided to go to The Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens in Riverside. This is only the second time I've been there even though I have lived in Jacksonville for 18 years. I figured the gardens would be a perfect place to take pictures, and it was! We took tons and tons of pictures but I am only posting a few of them up. I'm doing practically the same pose in all of them but I am posting a lot only because I love the background.

So I thought these pictures would show up larger since I did not resize them but if you click on them they show up larger. Anyways, I'm starting to like PacSun again. I mean, not all of their things, but just the basics. Like I got this leather (fake) jacket and I love it! They were also having a sale a few weeks ago and I got a bunch of different colored V-necks for $10, or under, each. I really like some of their shirts, especially V-necks. They are nice and simple and they don't have flashy weird designs on them or anything. They work with just about anything!

Clearly, I have been shopping mostly at Forever 21 and Urban Outfitters. They just seem to have almost everything I would want! You wouldn't think they were painful though, but they did indeed give me some blisters. However, I will continue to wear them. Beauty is pain and pain is beauty, I guess.

I am so excited to buy more Rodarte for Target items! I've been wanted a striped shirt like this for awhile so I was happy to see they had one. I also really like the swiss dot dress and the crepe lace print dress, so I will be buying those soon! Their line is so much better than Ana Sui's. I remember being so excited for Ana Sui, I mean it was the first real designer thing I bought when I went to Japan a few years ago. Unfortunately, I liked all about one dress from her collection.

And yay! I straightened my hair for the first time since I cut it 2 months ago. Why it took this long, I don't know...

As an effort to keep up with current outfits, I will be posting more frequently (more than once a day). This is because I started taking pictures of my outfits last week and I want to catch up so I can start posting what I wore the day I post something. So here is something I wore last week:

So I saw Ashley Greene at the Urban Outfitters in Jacksonville yesterday. Most of you may know her from her role as Alice in the Twilight series. Just to let you know, I love Twilight! I think the books are great (no its not considered great literature, but it's about the storyline anyways) and the movies are amazing, too. Unfortunately, I did not go up and talk to her. I just didn't know what to say at the moment.I didn't want to go up to her and be like "Oh my god! I LOVE your movies and Twilight!", or something like that. After a while of contemplation, I decided after I got out of the dressing room I would go and talk to her if she was still there. But of course, she was already checking out and I was already in line (longest line ever!), so I did not go up to her.

The moral of the story is that if you see someone famous who you really like as an actor/actress, go up to them! Or else you will regret it, like I do. I mean, she does live in Jacksonville so it is likely that I will see her again, hopefully!

So after months and months of religiously reading certain blogs, I finally decided to make one for myself! I actually decided this a while ago, but I decided to wait until winter break. I've never had a blog, unless you count Xanga which was used way back in the day (middle school for me). I guess this blog will be about fashion and maybe a few other tidbits. I don't consider myself an expert in fashion but I think I know how to dress well, for myself at least.

I am so happy that studs are back in style! Luckily, I still have some studded belts, bracelets, etc. from my "punk" stage in middle school. I added the belt after the first picture, as you can see, even though it's a too big to wear high-waisted. Hopefully I'll get around to adding an extra hole.
